WANTED: Banpresto Garamon mini

This seemingly obscure mini (my sources say it's by Banpresto, and about 4" tall) popped up on YJP early in September.  I missed it (drat!), and really want badly to find one for the Nerdstrom Collection.

There's one of these enigmatic lil' suckers in the wonderful collection shot below (circled), taken from here:

If any Garamaniac out there has a lead, I'd sure love it if you got in touch!

Custom Garamon by Skinner

If you don't yet know the work of Skinner, you absolutely should; I think the guy is well on his way to ranking right up there with great contemporary psychedelic visionaries like Jim Woodring and Alex Grey.

He's done just a bit of custom toy work, including this M1-GO Garamon which he offered for sale at the recently-held DesignerCon:

A taste...

The very talented Jacquelyn Heloise presents us with a super-sweet Gara-sketch (drawn from the infamous DVD insert postcard by bulldup), done in the course of some further Gara-rendering she's currently hard at work on... stay tuned, kids!

Hey... do you hear that? Like... a sort of... "Phi-Phi" sound?

New photos of the Inspire Pygmon have hit, in and out of the packaging... first off, a look at the Tsuburaya Online Shop version:

.... aaaaand the standard retail version, looking pretty much just as the proto did:

Handmade clay Garys

A Japanese Garamon fan shows off some pretty nifty Gara-sculpts on these two blog pages; here's a sample (click to embiggenate):

Dig that crazy face-off shot on the left!

X-Plus gonna make it alright...

Remember how the painted proto shots of this super-sharp Pygmon sculpt made you feel, when they hit the intertubes in the early-early of this year?

Dost thou happen to recall the high level of (unsurprised) dismay we shared upon release of the toy?

Well... take delight once again in those original photos, kids... and stay tuned for cool news from X-Plus...

Just the way we like 'im...

Garamon tributes from NagNagNag

There's not much I can really tell you about NagNagNag, or this toy... 'cause I don't really know anything about either.  There's a lot this 116-page (and counting) thread can (and can't) tell you about NagNagNag, and this toy.

Round-up: interesting Gara-auction pics

hustle55goodjob is at it again- this time with a cool little SD Pygmon:

Someone's unloading a nicely-built pair of Atelier-G1 Garamon kits (the fancy inner-armature ones); dig the  tasty B&W version:

Man alive, this finished 40cm Volks kit is lookin' superb:

This sculpt has a wonderfully sharp interpretive style, and this paint-up (esp. on the face) really does it justice.

(Did I mention my birthday's comin' up?
My birthday's comin' up.)

Another great custom paint-up, this time of a Bandai Pygmon mini (MAJOR improvement on the factory paint ops):

Finally, we end- as it seems we always must- with a pair of Kaiyodo build-ups:
